As alot of you have noticed i don't get to be around near as much while i'm going to school. I might as well give you guys a small piece of the things I've been working on.

Welcome to fire-breathing cat 3.0, yeah, it all started with me trying to figure out how to work the software to make a fire-breathing cat...... i started to have fun and now it's a game.

My computer science classes haven't actually gotten very detailed yet, so everything that i did while creating this game was trial and error.

The software i used is pretty limited so it's kind of buggy and it's a work in progress for me when i have time but there is alot to it already if you want to check it out.

Spoiler: The best rewards are givin based on how much damage you do to the cat compared to how much damage the cat does to your tan monkey friend. Do a good job both defending and doing damage and you may eventually even be able to start your own little family, when your child starts helping you, that's basically the end of the game right now

Oh and keep an eye on your burn. The different items in the game react differently to the heat and the burn will get you killed if you arnt careful!

this game is basically like alpha or beta or something, comments with problems and stuff can be helpful, i cant play all the content all the time to make sure everything works the way i would like.

The main feedback i need, if you cant find any bugs, is on things like difficulty and just opinions, I value all

I'm not overpowered. Just well informed.

Wow, this is awesome. There is so much to this game, it is really very impressive, although a bit confusing to start with because there is just so much to the game.

I'm a bit uncertain what the cat rounds and the monkey rounds boxes mean. I figured that the cat and monkey scores have something to do with how much damage they each have taken or dealt or something and player score is probably how well you're doing overall. I'm not really sure where what is in the boxes all comes from.

I think you said you made the music for it random somehow, so it always plays differently. I think it is pretty fascinating that you can do that, and it even sounds interesting too.

I don't really think I have figured out the difference in effectiveness of the three kinds of shields yet. I think I like the one in the middle, F, better, but I think that might be because the button for it is easier to reach in a hurry.

On my third play through I got the baby monkey to start helping like you said would happen, so I must not completely suck at the game. It really is a neat game :-)

Cool, The extra numbers were for stuff i was using while programming. I've taken them off now.

The player score is based on how much damage you do to the cat vs how much damage the cat does to your tan monkey friend. There are mile markers behind the scenes that are set to increase how much you earn based on how far ahead you are (the weird numbers i took off)

I've actually written a way better program for the projectiles too but i'm working them into another game i'm messing around with. It's a lot more complicated then this one.

That reminds me, I was wondering why the projectiles kept changing from black Xs to three red Xs at once sometimes. It didn't seem to be anything I did to make the change, at least that I noticed. I think at least when they turned into little red dash-like things, it was from an item the monkey friend gave me.

I did find it neat they were kinda auto-aiming at the cat though, but still requiring you to be in the right spot to hit the cat if it was moving.

What's the new program for the projectiles like? and will you be eventually sharing the new game you are messing with too?

The string of red Xs is like an Adrenalin rush type power, happens after you fire a curtain number of regular shots.

The new game i'm working on is fighting all angles. You can freely shoot in any direction. The program wrote for the other game wouldn't work with the new world i designed because the distance to the termination of the projectile is constantly changing. The new system allows the stars to fly their path regardless of where they terminate at, meaning they are more consistent.

I only get a few hours a week to really do any of my own stuff, I will post here when I get something of a playable version, but, it'll be a while.

It seems like this site has really slowed down to a halt during the last year, even I stopped checking it regularly. I'm still curious though, are you ever going to post another game you made like you said you would? I bet you're really excellent at it by now after learning more about it. I'd be super interested to see anything you've made.
